You don't need to know futsal, and you don't need to be a board gamer. The rules are simple, rounds are quick, and it's built to keep everyone involved, whether they love sport or not. It's less about the sport and more about getting people off their screens and around one table for a game night that actually works.

It's the feeling of backing your tactics and knowing it's hard to feel safe when you're winning, all with your friends sitting across the table.
What happens at the table?
Each round comes down to four quick steps:
1. Choose a formation
Both players secretly choose a formation card and reveal it at the same time. This sets your scoring range for the round.
2. Activate special abilities
Choose one Captain card and one Coach card. These stay active and give you special abilities during the match.
3. Draw a card
Draw a Chance or Strategy card and apply its effect.
4. Roll to score
Roll the 12-sided die. Land inside your scoring range and it's a goal.
With different formation, captain, coach and card combinations every round, no two matches play out the same.
One copy plays 2 to 4 people, with the included score sheet keeping track of results as your season unfolds. Want more people in? Add extra copies of the game and use our free Fixture Generator to run the season for bigger groups.

From the court to the tabletop
I'm Beau, a mechanical engineer and futsal player from Perth, Western Australia. I wanted to bring the feeling of the game to the table: the confidence in your plan, the frustration when chances don't go in and the excitement when a match turns.
It went through months of playtesting with WA's Game Foundry developer community before it ever got funded on Kickstarter. I make games so friends have an easy reason to hang out, and Futsal Face-Off is my first one.

Do I need to know futsal to play?
Not at all. The rules are simple and quick to pick up, whether you're a sports fan, a board gamer, or neither.
How long does a game take, and who's it for?
A match takes about 30 minutes, for 2 to 4 players. It's an easy game to pick up, and suited to ages 10 and up.
